2. Handmade products

Products are made by hand and may have small differences in colour, appearance, decoration, slicing and presentation. Event flavours may change according to ingredient availability. Photographs are representative unless stated otherwise.

3. Event and pop-up sales

Loaded Swirls are sold at advertised events while stocks last. Event dates, times and flavour availability may change for reasons outside Shawly Not Bakes’ control; updates will be shared on the website or social media where possible.

Perishable goods bought in person cannot normally be returned simply because you change your mind. This does not affect your rights if goods are faulty, damaged, unsafe or not as described.

4. Event pre-orders

Where offered, an event pre-order is a fixed box of four Loaded Swirls for collection from the event selected at checkout. A mixed box contains one of each flavour in the advertised event menu. Where a vegan box is offered for that event, it contains the advertised quantities of the two vegan flavours. Flavour swaps, substitutions and postal delivery are not available. Customers may buy one or two boxes, subject to one shared 25-box pre-order allocation across all box types for that event.

A pre-order is confirmed only when Square accepts full payment. Please collect during the advertised event hours using the name entered when ordering. If Shawly Not Bakes cancels the event collection or cannot supply the paid box, the payment will be refunded through the original payment method. For a customer-requested change or cancellation, contact Shawly Not Bakes promptly; any refund will depend on the timing and whether ingredients or production have already been committed. This does not affect rights relating to faulty, unsafe, damaged or misdescribed goods.

5. Advance and large orders

Larger orders of Loaded Swirls or cupcakes are priced individually. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking until availability, the final price, collection or delivery arrangements and any required payment have been agreed in writing.

Changes or cancellations should be requested as early as possible. Refunds depend on the notice given and whether ingredients, decorations, packaging or production time have already been committed. The specific arrangement will be confirmed with the quote.

6. Celebration cakes and deposits

Celebration cakes are priced individually. A booking is not secured until the quote is accepted and the £25 booking deposit is paid. The remaining balance is due seven days before collection unless agreed otherwise in writing.

  • 14 or more days before collection: cancellation receives a refund of the £25 deposit.
  • 7–13 days before collection: the £25 deposit is retained.
  • Fewer than 7 days before collection: 50% of the agreed total price is due, including any deposit already paid.

Design or flavour changes are subject to availability. Changes requested within 14 days may be refused or may alter the price where ingredients or decorations have already been ordered.

7. Collection and local delivery

Advance orders are normally collected in the Nottingham area. Local delivery may be agreed individually depending on distance and availability; any charge will be confirmed before the booking is accepted. Please be available at the agreed time and check the order at handover where practical.

8. Storage and allergens

Products are prepared in a shared home kitchen where any of the 14 regulated allergens may be present. Customers with an allergy, intolerance, coeliac disease or another dietary requirement must speak to James before buying at an event or confirm the requirement in writing before an advance order is booked.

Customers must follow the product-specific storage, serving and best-before information supplied with their purchase. Read the full collection, storage and allergen information before booking.

9. Problems, refunds and legal rights

Report problems promptly with the order details and photographs where relevant. Depending on the evidence and circumstances, Shawly Not Bakes may provide a replacement, full refund, partial refund or another suitable remedy. Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method.

Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights relating to faulty, unsafe, damaged or misdescribed goods. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
