Who is responsible?
Shawly Not Bakes is a sole-trader bakery operated by James in Nottingham, England. Questions about personal information can be sent to shawlynotbakes@outlook.com or by post to 5 Islay Close, Trowell, Nottingham, NG9 3RE.
What information is collected?
Depending on how you contact or order from us, this may include your name, email address, telephone number, collection or local-delivery details, order details, celebration date, cake preferences, reference images and information you choose to provide about allergies or dietary requirements.
Payment-card details will be handled by the chosen secure payment provider and will not be stored by Shawly Not Bakes.
Why is it used?
Information is used to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, make and hand over orders, deal with problems, keep appropriate business and accounting records, and meet food-safety or legal responsibilities.
Where you explicitly agree, contact information may also be used for occasional event, flavour or special-offer announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time. Marketing consent is separate from placing an order.
Website enquiry forms
The celebration-cake and large-order enquiry forms are processed by FormSubmit, which forwards the details and any uploaded image to Shawly Not Bakes by email. FormSubmit states that form submissions are retained for up to 30 days; uploaded files are delivered with the submission. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in your enquiry.
Who receives the information?
Information is not sold. It may be processed by services needed to run the website and fulfil an order, such as website hosting, the enquiry-form provider, email provider and payment processor. Each provider handles information under its own terms and privacy responsibilities.
How long is it kept?
Enquiry information that does not become an order is kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond and follow up. Order and payment records may be retained for longer where required for tax, accounting, food-safety, dispute or legal purposes. Information is then deleted or securely disposed of when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your personal information, request correction or deletion where applicable, object to or restrict certain uses, or withdraw marketing consent. Email Shawly Not Bakes to make a request. You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and external links
The current website does not intentionally use optional advertising or analytics cookies. Essential technology may be used to deliver and protect the site. Instagram, Facebook and FormSubmit are separate services with their own privacy and cookie information.

This notice will be reviewed whenever the website services or the way customer information is handled changes.
